One of my favorites, a five dollar a night, windowless stone hostal in Bulnes, Spain.  A small village high in the Picos de Europa with no connecting road service.  After the three hour walk up, a beer and a five dollar room is in order before you climb higher into the towering terrain.  (A look at the trail to Bulnes)
