Evening primrose is an edible flower.  Saute the bud in olive oil.  The seeds (below, left) can be poured from their capsule in the fall and eaten on the run.  Or add the seeds to the Paleo waffle recipe in the recipe section of this program. 
This particular plant was found in the Picos de Europa, Northern Spain. (More)  

Evening primrose seeds are edible and available in the winter turn the seed cup upside down over your hand and catch the seeds.
