Wild plum, Prunus spp.,  Large, slightly flattened seed.   Fruit edible when soft right off the tree.  One of the largest stands I have ever seen is located on the south side of Devil's Tower, Wyoming.
Japanese Umeboshi plum is a sweet alkaline fruit used to reduce gastric acid.
