Lovage, Levisticum officinale L., provides edible salad greens for nine months.  Distinctive flavor, similar to, but stronger than celery.  Use small amount in sauces, dips, omelets, soup--much as you would use celery but judiciously. 

Use in salads, beans, egg dishes as an alkalizer.  Tea of plant, handful of fresh leaves to a cup of water also has an alkalizing effect.
