Jim Meuninck: Biologist, Counselor, and author of Herbal Odyssey as well as numerous Natural Health books, cds, articles and DVD's, has lived in four countries (Japan, Germany, Canada, US) documenting Ethnobotany on four continents. His interests include cooking wild foods with traditional flavor principles from diverse cultures--a fun and worthwhile pursuit. Many of these recipes are included in the lostfood link and in his three books on edible wild plants and medicinal plants. Be certain to see Meuninck's videos, covering numerous aspects of natural health to include: Native American Medicine; Medicinal Plants; Edible Wild Plants, Nutrition, Survival and Self-Reliance and Edible Flowers. Jim frequently designs and presents workshops on these topics as well as outdoor medicine and wilderness survival. Jim's wife, Jill, a secondary Spanish teacher, assists in research. Rebecca, their daughter is an Environmental Anthropologist, completing her doctoral program in Brazil (BS U. of Michigan, Doctoral studies Michigan State University) and works for the Ecology Center in Ann Arbor Michigan. |
