| Hoptree, Ptelea trifoliata
L. Rutaceae. Several tribes used the root bark to strengthen
the effect of other plant drugs in formulas and combinations as did the
Meskwaki and Menominee. Menominee considered the root a
panacea. Root was pulverized and infused in water, taken
internally for ailing lungs.
