Sea fig, Carpobrotus chilensis (Molina) NE Br. or C. aequilaterus, Aizoaceae.  Succulent, thick leaved plant of the upper tide zone.  Extensive colonies, thick like mats, three sided succulent leave, smooth margins to 4 inches.  Rose to rose violet, magenta flowers to 2 inches, numerous petals and stamens.   Found on coastal sand bluffs, dunes, above tide zone.
