Catalina cherry tree, Prunus lyonii, Rosaceae.  Found along the estuary north of Huntington Beach.  Shrub, holly like leaves, similar to Prunus ilicifolia (Nutt.) Walp.   Blooms March through May depending on location.  Fruit eaten by Native Americans, P. illicifolia fruit was fermented into an alcoholic beverage by First People.
