Wild blueberries have become more difficult to find in the Midwest, due to loss of habitat.  They are easy to purchase and I prefer the smaller sweeter ones over the new larger hybrids.  Freeze them for winter use.  A simple treat is to pour milk over the frozen berries for a quick frozen dessert. 
Health benefits of blueberries are becoming legendary.  They have antioxidant chemistry, circulation improving bioflavonoids and may protect the intestinal system from bacterial infections (more).
