Uvularia sessilifolia L.  Family: Liliaceae. Sessile Leaf Bellwort, was used in infusion by Native Americans as a blood purifier and a spring tonic to treat diarrhea. Externally as a poultice over  wounds, boils, sprains and broken bones.  Root eaten fresh has a bite and was taken  to treat mouth sores, sore throats.

The plant is in the lily family, a family with great foods and some poisonous members.  There is not much documentation on ediblility.  Cherokee ate the leaves as a cooked vegetable.
