Autumn Olive once common in fence rows between farm fields as habitat and food for game
birds, rabbits, song birds.  Many of these animal protecting rows have been disposed of to broaden 
farm fields.  The cost:  less game, fewer song birds and more top soil erosion.   Pick the berry in late
